You will serve as a SUPERVISORY QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (AIRCRAFT) in the Chief of Naval Air Training Command (CNATRA), N4 Maintenance/Contract Detachment of NATC MILTON, NAS Whiting Field, Milton, Florida.
Duties
You will determine need for subcontract source inspections, data analysis methods, manpower requirements and other actions associated with quality assurance.
You will provide leadership, technical, and contract knowledge to maintain an effective and productive work force.
You will establish and maintain communications with contractor's top management.
You will provides input on contract type, method of solicitation options determinations, milestones development, and sources to be solicited for aircraft maintenance projects.
You will administer, evaluate, and coordinate comprehensive maintenance, manufacturing and supply quality assurance programs.
You will direct the evaluation of quality assurance technical reports and surveys, special investigations and system reviews to assess contractor Quality and Inspection System effectiveness.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field Production, Quality and Manufacturing Level II. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing aviation maintenance operations to provide guidance, improve contractor's functional process and maintain communications by developing and implementing quality assurance plans and projects for a Quality Assurance aircraft program.
