Duties
You will apply an expert knowledge of a wide range of Information Technology, Cybersecurity, and Computer Security Service Provider concepts, principles and practices.
You will plan, direct and evaluate incidents and perform a continuing assessment of USINDOPACOM’s security posture.
You will recommend lessons learned defensive cyberspace operations and general operational requirements to target new and emerging threats to the DoD Information Networks.
Requirements

- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code Vulnerability Assessment Analyst, proficiency level Basic; you'll be required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
In addition to the experience demonstrating the four competencies above, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating an expert knowledge of a wide range of Information Technology, Cybersecurity, and Computer Security Service Provider concepts, principles and practices required to plan, direct and evaluate incidents and perform a continuing assessment of an organization's security posture. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following: 1) Managing all phases of cybersecurity to include the development, implementation, interpretation, accreditation, risk management, and maintenance of cybersecurity policies, plans, programs, and standards; 2) Overseeing system changes, organization change management, development of system level risk assessments; 3) Directing staff and coordinating operations for cybersecurity issues regarding security management, software, hardware, procedural, network, internet, data communications, and Automated Information Systems (AIS); 4) Overseeing compliance and regulations for Risk Management Framework; and 5) Utilizing a knowledge of defensive cyberspace operations and general operational requirements to target new and emerging threats to the DoD Information Networks.
