This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Chief Readiness Support Officer (OCRSO). The primary purpose of this position is focusing on information security (INFOSEC) and system's analysis (SYSANAL YSIS) within the Systems and Information Integration Office (Sl2O) of the Office of the Chief Readiness Support (OCRSO). Non-BU: This is a non-bargaining unit position.

Duties

SI2O delivers and facilitates data and information sharing to enable insights, innovation, performance measurement and strategic decision making for the Department's mission support operations. With a focus on data science, analytics, reporting, data and information sharing and governance, and mission support, SI2O strives to build a culture of data driven decision making and to enhance the workforce's ability to leverage data and analytics. The primary purpose of this position is to lead the SI2O Capabilities Branch. As a IT Specialist (INFOSEC/SYSANALYSIS), GS-2210-14, your typical work assignments may include the following: Providing support to the Sl2O team in identifying, collecting and analyzing data, enhancing decision-making by generating reports / dashboards using visual applications and analytical software tools, and ensuring information and systems security compliance with DHS security and privacy policies. Applying analytical processes to planning, designing, and implementing new and improved information management functionality to meet the business requirements of the DHS Cube. Assisting with developing tailored data plans for source systems to improve how the DHS Cube collects, uses, manages and publishes data within and across functions. Qualifications

Specialized Experience: You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal government, performing duties such as: 1) Identifying, collecting and analyzing data, enhancing decision-making by generating reports / dashboards using visual applications and analytical software tools, and ensuring information and systems security compliance with security and privacy policies; 2) Making decisions or recommendations that significantly influence important agency IT policies or programs.; 3) Managing and tracking requirements with systems owners throughout the development lifecycle to support the development of data-driven solutions. Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used for this grade level. All qualifications and eligibility requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement. Time-in-grade: Current General Schedule (GS) federal employees, and those that have served in GS positions within the last 52 weeks, must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade, or a combination of the next lower grade level and an equivalent band in the federal service by the closing of this announcement. Note: Current or former Federal employees MUST submit a copy of their SF-50 Form which shows competitive service appointment ("position occupied" block 34 on the SF-50 should show a "1"), tenure group (block 24 should show a 1 or 2), grade, and salary.
