This position is part of the Office of Science - Headquarters, Department of Energy. As a Management and Program Analyst, you will be supporting and implementing management policies, objectives, and strategies that impact Science Laboratories (SLI) Infrastructure activities in coordinating the planning, development, and implementation of processes that enable SLI portfolio and Office of Science (SC) mission success including reporting directly to the Science Laboratories Infrastructure Director.

Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
GS-13: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-12 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following:
Coordinating responses to budgetary actions and inquiries relative to management.
Communicating reporting status to management officials.
Monitoring program or project status to analyze priorities and report to management.
GS-14: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-13 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting 2 of 3 of the following:
Providing communication support and advising on program priorities, such as financial planning and management, management process development and performance analysis, project justification, coordination, and execution.
Advising on the budget process, methods of controlling funds, and program appropriation procedures including those associated to construction projects
Applying regulations associated with contract and project management policies, principles, and requirements.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

CTAP/ICTAP candidates: To be considered "well qualified" you must (1) meet all of the requirements as described in this section; and 2) be rated "well-qualified", which is defined as having a score of 85 or better.
