About the Position: The U.S. Military Academy, West Point, NY is located in the Hudson River Valley, 50 miles from New York City. The site is the oldest continuously occupied military post in America. West Point is a self-contained city. You have access to Eisenhower Hall Theater, performing arts center, and recreational facilities.
Duties
Serve as the Strength Manager for officer and enlisted requisitions and assignments throughout the US Army Garrison.
Responsible for the accurate preparation and submission of the personnel section of the monthly Unit Status Report (USR).
Monitor the Garrison officer and enlisted inventory by MOS and grade, the personnel requisition system, and personnel management actions for the Garrison in coordination with the Chief, Military Personnel Division.
Coordinate with the Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security (DPTMS) for information essential to monitoring Garrison personnel readiness posture.
Serve as the Pass Record Tool (PASS-R) assistant to monitor and coordinate Soldier transactions across multiple databases for accuracy.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Reviewing and/or updating personnel actions in an automated database; 2) Working closely with internal/external customers to resolve complex error transactions and/or critical personnel shortages and 3) Utilizing multiple automated systems to produce correspondence, memorandum, or other written documents. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
