Duties
As a EXERCISE COORDINATOR at the GS-0301-12/13 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Leads the logistics planning effort and manages all resources for large-scale training events that often involve over 1,500 players and controllers. Guides logistics working group members to identify comprehensive resource requirements, both on government installations and off installation for the successful planning and execution of the large-scale training event.
Provides advice, assistance and training to the Division across the full spectrum of contract management support and funding, preparing financial documents, Military Intergovernmental Purchase Requests (MIPRs) & Inter-Agency Authorizations (IAAs), and processing final approved documents through acquisition channels for contract award.
Plans and conducts analyses of Division line program and management functions, processes and/or activities, e.g., program plans, procedures, policies, program expenditures, procurements and contracts.
Actively contributes to the development and preparation of management/program policies, approaches, spend plans and future year budgets.
Extremely familiar with automated financial management and tracking systems in the performance of duties.

- Telework Eligibility: This position is telework eligible on a situational basis with management approval.
- This is an Acquisition Workforce position in the Program Management functional area. The incumbent will be required to become certified in the Practitioner tier within 5 years.
- Must consent to and pass pre- drug testing and be subject to periodic random drug testing thereafter.
- Travel in the performance of temporary assignments may be required up to 25% of duty time (CONUS/OCONUS). The employee must be willing to comply with each Combatant Command (COCOM) travel medical requirement to include vaccinations.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain valid passport.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance.
Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-12, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service:
Experience assisting with developing, scheduling, coordinating, and managing projects and resources
Knowledge of procurement processing, i.e., logistics, Inter-Agency Authorizations [IAAs], Military Intergovernmental Purchase Requests [MIPRs]
Experience supporting programs with the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process
Experience assisting with coordination and management support for national and international nuclear weapons incident response exercise training activities
You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service:
Knowledge/experience developing, scheduling, coordinating, and managing projects and resources
Knowledge/experience in procurement processing, i.e., logistics, Inter-Agency Authorizations [IAAs], Military Intergovernmental Purchase Requests [MIPRs]
Knowledge/experience in Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process
Experience with coordination and management support for national and international nuclear weapons incident response exercise training activities
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
