About the Position: Serves as Installation Unit Movement Coordinator (IUMC), Installation Transportation Division (ITD), Army Field Support Battalion (AFSBn) responsible for Fort Cavazos Active Component (AC) units, United States Army Reserve (USAR) units, Army Reserve National Guard (ARNG) units, and other supported mobilizing units.

Duties

Manage the support provided to the installation and the Transportation Operating Agencies (TOA) for data acquisition, planning and scheduling unit moves. Use Installation Transportation Division (ITD) guidance to develop, coordinate, and maintain contingency plans to support unit movements through alternate ports of embarkation (airfield, seaports, etc.). Supervise a team of logistics specialists and transportation specialists. Ensure Transportation Coordinators Automated Information Management System (TCAIMS II)/ Computer Movement Planning and Status System (COMPASS) documentation is accurately reviewed and edited.

Requirements

  • Incumbent must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Position is designated key: employee occupying this position may not vacate during war or national emergency without seriously impairing the mission; employee possesses unique or scarce managerial or technical skills required by the wartime mission.
  • TDY travel may occasionally be required.
  • Irregular work hours required after normal duty hours, weekends, holidays, evenings, and nights.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
