Duties
You will oversee the security posture for one or more system(s) throughout the entire lifecycle; provides continuous monitoring through scheduled audits, controls testing, and audit reviews, and escalates issues as needed.
You will oversee the implementation of IT security controls and security authorization documents; and ensures the system is compliant with mandated security policies and requirements.
You will provides technical recommendations for all Risk Assessments and Vulnerability Assessments conducted for the system or site.
You will provide security analysis of IT activities to ensure that appropriate security measures are in place and being enforced.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code Security Control Assessor, proficiency level-Entry. The incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data through the planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems security programs, policies, procedures, and tools;
2) Applying knowledge of fundamental cybersecurity concepts;
3) Applying knowledge of cybersecurity and privacy principles used to manage risks related to the use, processing, storage, and transmission of information or data;
4) Applying knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements.

Education
The following education may be substituted for specialized experience:
Successful completion of a master's degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree.
Graduate Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
