You will serve as an Engineering Technician (General) in the Asset Management Division of MCRD ERR PI SC. Initial consideration for this announcement is limited to the number of applications listed at the top of this announcement. Duties

You will perform regularly scheduled control inspections for Depot facilities to determine facility Mission Readiness condition. You will maintain and populate the Control Inspection database with information concerning deficiencies in facilities' structure, systems, and components. You will develop appropriate courses of action to remedy any facility deficiencies identified during inspection for facilities' structure, components, and systems. You will require knowledge in addressing HAZMAT materials testing for all project work when deemed appropriate. You will develop initial project scopes of work to correct facility deficiencies related to the facility structure, systems, and components.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing facilities inspections, maintaining facilities inventory databases, reviewing designs and drawings; AND developing scopes of work and project estimates.
