You will serve as a Engineering Technician (General) in the Facilities Maintenance Division of MCRD ERR PI SC.
Duties
You will develop and maintain facility inventory databases.
You will perform regularly scheduled control inspections for depot facilities to evaluate electrical, mechanical, structural, plumbing and other
facility systems to determine mission readiness condition.
You will develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs for facilities structures, components and systems.
You will prepare scope of work for contracted services.
You will monitor and evaluate testing for destructive and HAZMAT materials for all projects where appropriate.
You will develop and maintain the facilities inventory database containing facilities systems and components, materials quantities, square footage, use and category codes and system and component replacement cost.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position requires good eyesight and hearing to perform the duties satisfactorily.
Qualifications
e must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying architectural and engineering practices to support facilities operation management by performing facilities inspections, maintenance of facilities inventory databases, review of designs and drawings, development of scopes of work and project estimates, and quality assurance reviews.
