The Management Analyst of this position provides support for the Surgery and Specialty Care Service Line as well as the Administrative Officer (AO), and Service Line Director of Imaging Services, by analyzing and evaluating a wide range of issues relating to the setting analysis, budget analysis, program review, process analysis, developing action plans and processes to improve patient care.

Duties

Major duties for this position include, but are not limited to: Performing program cost analyses such as maintaining records of fee basing services. Performing cost benefit and/or economic evaluations of programs and processes. Performing cost effectiveness studies by collecting data and making computations. Planning, designing, analyzing, and submitting action plan proposals to supervisory and upper management within the service line. Develops procedures and systems for establishing, operating, and assessing the effectiveness of administrative control systems or operating programs. Monitors contract invoices and assists in ensuring accuracy. Utilizes Invoice Payment Processing System (IPPS) to keep track of electronic invoice payments and authorizations. Maintains running monthly budget balances to give status and reports to AO. Plans and/or accomplishes special projects. Extracts and assembles information, conducts analysis, and develops reports and presentations. Performs other duties as assigned. To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 10/17/2024. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-09 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-07. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement.
