Duties

Review and advise on civilian HR regulations, procedures, and instructions. Prepare regulations/instructions and write policy. Respond to inquiries from HQs and subordinate command offices. Participate in on-site reviews and evaluations of subordinate command programs.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Specialized Experience GS-12: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with planning, coordinating, and implementing civilian human resource programs; providing interpretation and instructions on civilian human resource laws, regulations, policies and procedures; and providing advisory services related to staffing and recruitment, and performance management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Specialized Experience GS-13: One year of specialized experience which includes planning, coordinating, and implementing civilian human resource programs; providing interpretation and instructions on civilian human resource laws, regulations, policies and procedures; and providing authoritative technical advisory services related to staffing and recruitment, and performance management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
