You will serve as an EVENTS SPECIALIST in the Programs and Integration Division (PID) of DON/AA.
Duties
You will manage and provide actionable comprehensive planning, coordination, preparation, and execution for Department of the Navy Secretarial events.
You will oversee and conduct on-site event planning services, logistical oversight, and protocol support for all authorized events.
You will oversee and execute all security requirements such as parking, guest/vendor access, and escort services.
You will provide on-site subject matter expertise for each event; ensuring timely delivery and set-up of required equipment, and personally troubleshoot unforeseen circumstances that may arise.
You will manage all aspects (i.e., initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing the work) of a team to achieve specific goals and meet defined objectives for any assigned recurring/long-term Secretariat events.
You will develop the agenda, collate the presentation, and produce the collateral material (notepad, pens, folder, and name badges) for each Seminar.
You will coordinate directly with SES members and external agencies and act as the DON lead agent for all DoD/Joint service events/ceremonies.
Requirements

Qualifications
GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience planning, developing, coordinating, and executing high-level events, programs, and commemorative functions;
Experience effectively communicating (oral and written) and interacting comfortably with Senior Leaders;
Experience working independently with minimal to no supervision;
Experience negotiating solutions between governmental fiscal authorities, contractors, and supporting installation agencies; and
Experience overseeing the successful execution of VIP events.
GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience assisting with planning, developing, coordinating, and executing high-level and VIP events, programs, and commemorative functions;
Experience providing superior communication (oral and written) and interacting comfortably with Senior Leaders; and
Experience assisting with the development of agendas, collating presentations, and producing collateral material (notepad, pens, folder, and name badges) for seminars.
