You will serve as a Supervisor Support Services Specialist in the Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION MIRAMAR. Duties

You will advise and provide counsel to subordinates regarding policies, procedures, and directives. You will plan and establish section priorities, work schedule deadlines, standards of acceptable work, and tracks progress and quality of work. You will render advice, counsel or instruction to employees and Marines on work and administrative matters. You will serve as the subject matter expert in general administration, providing technical assistance and training classes to 29 subsections within the command on all matters pertaining to general administration and specific professing requirements You will supervise maintenance of the Directives Control Point (DCP), Secondary Directives Control Points, and Command Correspondence Files. You will be responsible for overseeing the Commands’ Casualty Assistance Program as the Command Assistance Command Representative (CACR).

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing administrative and technical supervisory duties to include work planning, assignments, training, discipline and leave for military personnel; AND administrative and office management experience within the military sector to perform the duties of processing, military personnel, policies, practices, and procedures. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

3 academic years of graduate-level education

OR

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
