The Energy Management and Marketing Specialist (EMMS) is responsible for the on-shift management of loads and resources, and marketing of resources assigned to the regional/CRSP Energy Management and Marketing Office (EMMO) that may include customer account portfolios. **This is not a remote position. The selectee will be required to be physically present in Montrose, Colorado.**

The Energy Management and Marketing Specialist (EMMS) provides energy management and marketing services for generation resources assigned to the EMMO. Representative duties may include any or all of the following:

Qualifications

There are no Individual Occupational Requirements for series 0301. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have one (1) year of specialized experience, equivalent to the next lower grade level in the federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: For the AD-02 Level: To qualify for the AD-02 level, applicants must have one (1) year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (AD-01 or GS-05/07) in the federal service. For the AD-02 level, applicants must have experience in ALL of the following: Resolving complex issues; AND Customer Service. For the AD-03 Level: To qualify for the AD-03 level applicants must have one (1) year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (AD-02 or GS-07/09) in the federal service. For the AD-03 level, applicants must have experience in ALL of the following: Resolving complex issues; Customer Service; Power marketing or power plant operations; AND Contract negotiations. For the AD-04 Level: To qualify for the AD-04 level, applicants must have one (1) year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (AD-03 or GS-11) in the federal service. For the AD-03 level, applicants must have experience in ALL of the following: Resolving complex issues; Customer service; Power marketing or power plant operations; Contract negotiations; Applying the use of e-tagging standards; AND Using OASIS systems. "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Time-in-Grade: Current career or career-conditional GS employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional GS employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b). Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to current career or career-conditional federal employees applying for a Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.
