This position resides within the Management Services Office, Procurement Services and Grants Managements Division. NextGen is a comprehensive initiative that integrates new and existing technologies, policies and procedures to reduce delays, and save fuel and lower aircraft exhaust emissions to deliver a better air travel experience. NextGen is supported by executive-level processes for ensuring commitment, accountability, and timely delivery of system improvements.
Duties
Incumbent applies experience and comprehensive knowledge applicable to reviewing, analyzing and monitoring systems engineering contracts, and other contracts supporting NextGen and other disciplines to plan and programs. Assignments require knowledge and experience working on cross-functional teams and/or organizational lines. Typical assignments include: identifying, gathering, tracking and analyzing data to ensure compliance with policies and procedures; identifying, analyzing, and making recommendations for solutions of complex/difficult problems; and recommending improvements to systems and processes. Serves as support of the organization's goals and objectives working in a contract administration role and/or environment (e.g. Contracting Officer's Representative, COR). Incumbent is responsible for providing expertise for complex and challenging activities related to the Systems Engineering (SE2020/2025/SETIS) contracts and other contracts supporting NextGen programs.
