The Office of Inspector General is an independent office within the EPA that helps the agency protect the environment in a more efficient & cost effective manner. We perform audits, evaluations, & investigations of the EPA to promote economy, efficiency, and to prevent and detect fraud, waste and abuse. Qualifications

All applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following: You may qualify for the GS-14 grade level, if you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level performing the following duties: 1) Knowledge of IT policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of network and on-premise/cloud infrastructure management services sufficient to designing, developing, evaluating and providing recommendations on new technologies and architectures; 2) Identifies and diagnose IT issues and perform corrective and/or preventive actions for resolution; 3) Develops systems management plans, standard operating procedures, and other documentation to optimize the functionality of systems, networks, and/or data; 4) Organizes and direct the activities of an organization, ensuring that the advice and assistance provided complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs; 5) Interrelationships among multiple IT disciplines sufficient to manage projects that have a significant impact on the delivery of agency-wide network and on-premise/cloud infrastructure management services; and 6) Communicates with individuals at all levels of the organization to explain technical policies, regulations, and processes.
