This position is located with Bonneville Power Administration, in Transmission Services, Transmission Planning and Asset Management, Transmission Communications and Grid Modeling, Communications and Control Planning.
A successful candidate as an Engineering Technician (Electrical) performs work associated with engineering design, implementation, and engineering standards to support electrical transmission, distribution, control, measurement, and utilization projects, systems, and processes.

As an Engineering Technician (Electrical) you will:

- This position does not support remote work. You will be required to report physically to the official reporting worksite as specified by the supervisor, but no less than 3 days per pay period.
Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
GS-11: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-10 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Experience in developing drawings using computer design software such as computer-aided design (CAD) to support engineering projects.
GS-12: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-11 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Experience in developing drawings using computer design software to include computer-aided design (CAD) to 1) support engineering projects, 2) provide technical guidance to other technicians, and 3) develop and maintain internal technical documentation.

Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations.
