You will serve as a Management Analyst in the Category Management Program of CNSSC OPERATIONAL SUPPORT FIELD.

Duties

You will provide advice to management and colleagues on difficult problems, conducts special studies, proposes options and alternatives, and represents the Command to higher-level authority on Category Management issues. You will evaluate assigned analysis of data, interpretation of trends, patterns, etc. and making recommendations to enhance Navy-wide savings for products and services. You will coordinate the efforts of others and organizational skills to gather written inputs from a number of individuals and prepare cohesive, organized written reports You will be responsible for planning, establishing, administering, coordinating, standardizing, communicating and analyzing assigned commodity areas.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: I have at least one year of Management Analyst specialized experience equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level in the Federal Service or equivalent pay band or equivalent experience in the private sector that demonstrates a thorough knowledge and skill in applying management principles, organizational theory, analytical, statistical and evaluative methods and techniques to improve program effectiveness and/or organizational productivity and to provide change management expertise necessary to plan and implement Category Management initiatives that affect Navy Budgeting Submitting Office's (BSO's). I have experience applying a thorough knowledge of business process analysis principles and policies as well as experience with management principles, organizational theory and techniques of analysis and evaluation to improve program effectiveness and/or organizational productivity. Examples of specialized experience may include the following: 1) Providing advice to management and colleagues on difficult problems, conducts special studies, proposes options and alternatives;2) Coordinate the efforts of others and organizational skills to gather written inputs from a number of individuals and prepare cohesive, organized written reports; 3) Analyze metrics and program data in order to provide recommendations on the appropriate goals and objectives of the Division; 4) Analyze and evaluate the impact of category management policy changes, and review standards and techniques to resolve encountered problems; 5) Provides recommendations on the appropriate program goals and objectives, Assesses constraints to success, monitors performance, analyzes metrics and program data, and make recommendations on process improvements; and 6 ) Prepare and deliver briefings to managers on study findings and recommendations at meetings and conferences.
