You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the FLEET SUPPORT TEAM of FLTREADCEN EAST.

Duties

You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive logistics support strategy for all PMA-226 Adversary F-16 aircraft weapons systems and for adjusting performance requirements and resources to support the program. You will be responsible for the direction of the total logistics effort of the Program Office including managing all logistics projects and oversight of all logistics workload within the scope of PMA-226 F-16 Adversary aircraft. You will be responsible for the integration and management of maintenance/logistics support elements throughout the life cycle. you will provide Logistics guidance and oversight to assigned logisticians ensuring technically sound decisions and direction as well as timely responses to operators of assigned aircraft and systems. You will be responsible for enforcing all logistic policies, procedures, priorities, budgeting, fiscal execution and evaluation of the decentralized logistics management efforts.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Expert knowledge required to enforce all logistic policies, procedures, priorities, budgeting, fiscal execution and evaluation of decentralized logistics management efforts. 2. Comprehensive knowledge of the weapon system acquisition life cycle phases related to DoD/Navy systems and equipment and the documentation, analyses, and reviews associated with those phases. 3. Mastery knowledge of logistics management policies, practices, and procedures used in the acquisition, design, overhaul, maintenance, modification and repair of weapon systems. 4. Expert knowledge required to develop ILS planning and supportability requirements for program documentation. 5. Expert knowledge required to prepare logistics sections of program/acquisition documents and expert knowledge required to manage their development. 6. Broad knowledge required to exercise resource responsibility/authority over support budgets through the Logistics Requirements and Funding Plan (LRFP) and Program Objectives Memorandum (POM) process.
