You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) Logistics Department of FLTREADCEN EAST.

Duties

You will serve as the MRO Logistics Director for the Command. You will identify and forecast resource requirements (funding, manpower, facilities, etc.) and provide associated rationale to support the budgeting process. You will evaluate fluctuating resource levels and requirements due to additional or revised technical capabilities and budget, schedule, process, and/or policy changes. You will support the oversight, monitoring and implementation of comprehensive industrial logistics program planning and execution. You will assess the quality of logistics and program management support provided to program office and Fleet customers. You will provide advice and recommendations to the Commanding Officer and other senior executives in Command policy and procedures.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Implementing advanced theory, concepts, principles and practices of all aspects of the broad field of Logistics Management and the 12 product support elements; 2) Developing solutions to unconventional problems in which a solution is not covered by instructions, directives or policies; 3) Managing complex technical logistics program operations having a direct impact on national defense and warfighter support; 4) Briefing senior DoD Officials at the Flag Officer and SES Levels; 5) Providing high-level program and project management to ensure efficient and effective planning, direction and timely execution of numerous large and complex efforts; 6) Supervising, directing, overseeing and coordinating the work efforts of a large complex logistics focused organization through subordinate supervisors and team leads.
