You will serve as a ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST in the Environmental Security Department Office of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON.
Duties
You will oversee the compliant implementation of P2 programs, initiatives and other requirements as outlined in the most current Marine Corps Order, Presidential Executive Orders, and pertinent Department of Defense Policies and instructions.
You will propose, establish, and promulgate policy, strategies, and plans.
You will program, budget, initiate, and track the performance of P2 projects.
You will conduct a viable outreach campaign by incorporating practical suggestions through established media outlets.
You will oversee implementation of a Hazardous Materials Consolidation Program by verifying the program meets requirements established, and assist the G-4, when necessary, with methods, theories or practices that may improve the program.
You will assist with maintaining and updating essential EMS documents and records to include the practice inventory and EMS manual.
Requirements

- You will be required to possess and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning, developing, and administering a pollution prevention program.
