This position is located in Pacific West Region at the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, in the Facilities Management Division. Duties

Employee must have knowledge of trail construction and maintenance techniques and must be able to recognize existing and future maintenance problems. Can teach and demonstrate trail maintenance and construction methods and techniques to lower graded park staff and volunteers. Employee is responsible for planning and directing field operations, ensuring staff are following the annual work plans set forth by the park wide Trail Supervisor. Hires, evaluates, and trains both permanent and seasonal employees skilled primarily in the maintenance, repair, and construction of trails throughout their area of responsibility. Employee works both independently and at times as a member of interdisciplinary teams to develop short- and long-range planning efforts within an a trail maintenance and construction plan
