This position is part of the NNSA - Livermore Field Office, Department of Energy. The incumbent serves as a Federal Administrative
Specialist and works closely with the Manager's Office and other senior Livermore Field Office (LFO) management. The incumbent performs a variety of executive, administrative, and office management functions; monitors the office procedures, policies, and schedules; and coordinates office and organizational activities.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
To meet the basic requirements for the NQ-0301-02 pay band, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower NNSA pay band, i.e., NQ/NN-01 or GS-07 equivalent in the federal service which has equipped you with the competencies and knowledge required to perform successfully the duties of this position. Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience performing ALL of the items listed below. You are required to include examples of this experience in your resume. If you do not provide examples, your application will be considered incomplete and removed from further consideration.
(1) Providing administrative support in the areas of correspondence management, office operations and travel; (2) interpreting and applying administrative policies and procedures to provide accurate and timely guidance to supervisors and employees; (3) responds to routine, unusual and sensitive situations with the most feasible solution; and (4) using Microsoft Office Suite applications to create and update documents, presentations and spreadsheets.
OR
A master's or equivalent graduate degree or two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree. (Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. An unofficial transcript must be submitted).

A combination of education and experience.

Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
CTAP/ICTAP candidates: To be considered "well qualified" you must meet all of the requirements as described in this section. If you are eligible for career transition assistance plans such as ICTAP or CTAP, you must meet the definition of "well qualified" which is defined as having a score of 85 or better.

Education
