This position is located in the Bureau of Administration's Directorate of Planning, Resources, and Innovation.
Duties
Interprets results of data analysis into clear, actionable communications that equip decision makers to understand Bureau program status and make informed, data-driven decisions.
Identifies and extracts data from a variety of data sources, prepares data for analysis, and conducts observational analyses using software such as PowerBI to explore/group data, predict outcomes, and inform decisions.
Employs a wide range of data analytical skills, leveraging quantitative and qualitative methodologies to responds to high priority internal and external information requests.
Translates complex concepts, findings, and limitations about data into concise, plain language.
Creates useful presentations and interpretations of analytical outputs, independently synthesizing findings and turning them into actionable insights.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet all the required qualification requirements described below by the closing date of this announcement.
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
• Effectively preparing, analyzing, visualizing, and presenting both static and dynamic data. • Conducting data analysis of multidimensional data from multiple sources with tools such as Excel, PowerBI, and/or Tableau. • Applying user-centric data design principles to develop data products that meet user and mission needs, including communicating with users and stakeholders to gather requirements and collect feedback. • Effectively managing data analysis projects, including defining scope and delivering project outputs according to agreements. • Designing both single-use analytic data products as well as recurrent data products (e.g. dashboard or periodic reports), including validating the accuracy and quality of underlying data pipelines.
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-13 position.

Time-In-Grade Requirements: Federal applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade to satisfy time-in-grade restrictions, per 5CFR 300, Subpart F.
