This position is located in Protection, Control, & Instrumentation (TEZP) organization of Technical Services (TEZ), Transmission Engineering & Technical Services (TE), Transmission Services (T), of the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA).
A successful candidate will plan, design, facilitate, and support the System Protection & Control (SPC) meter communication device lifecycle, manage the meter communication system, and support communication of SPC laptops and software.

Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-12 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Applying of a wide range of concepts, laws, regulations, rules, theories, policies, principles, practices, precedents including qualitative and quantitative methods applicable to 1) system protection and control to develop unique test plans for a variety of equipment types, the implementation of those test plans and to conduct lab tests needed; 2) perform project or program management duties that include developing plans and schedules, estimating resource requirements, defining milestones and deliverables, monitoring activities, and evaluating and reporting of project completion; and 3) research or develop, implement, and manage data and communication security protocols and methods to safeguard meter data.
