The Office of Aerospace Medicine (AAM) develops and manages medical programs in support of Aviation Safety. The Regional Augmentation Team (RAT) supports the Office of Aerospace Medicine (AAM) regional program efforts and other AAM efforts in the performance of AAM employee’s primary duties, including preparation for and response to public health events affecting the aviation industry. This position is the Lead Regional Program Analyst (RPA) for the Regional Augmentation Team (RAT).

Duties

The Lead RPA serves as senior program analyst of the team and provides direction to lower-level program analysts and regional program groups on various programs and public health tasks/assignments. The position uses public health expertise to directly support and advise the Regional Augmentation Team (RAT) Manager. The Lead RPA brings recommendations on program improvements to the RAT Manager and is delegated the responsibility to guide projects and activities and implement change with the team.

  • Designated or Random Drug Testing required.
  • Successful completion of a security investigation may be required.

Qualifications

TO QUALIFY AT THE FV-I (FG/GS 13) LEVEL, you must demonstrate in your application you possess one (1) year of Specialized Experience equivalent to FV-H (FG/GS 12) level. Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized Experienceincludes using analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to assess programs; identifying problem areas and providing recommendations for improvement; developing schedules, coordinating, and managing projects and resources; using medical terminology and medical clinical information databases in the performance of work assignments; leading groups; reading, interpreting, preparing reports, summarizing medical information and documents; training others in related duties.Applicants should provide examples of Specialized Experience in their Work History. Qualifications must be met by the closing date of the vacancy announcement.
