About the Position: This position is in the Department of Radiology at Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Liberty, NC. The incumbent of this position will serve as the business operations manager, performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks to plan and execute daily assignments in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Duties

Utilize a variety of different manuals and policies to compose and correct errors in correspondence. Use automated data processing systems to support the administrative needs of the department. Arrange meetings and conference for the department staff. Assist staff in preparing travel orders using Defense Travel System (DTS). Perform receptionist duties during department operating hours. Initiate calls for information pertaining to administrative/office management matters.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing administrative support services in a medical treatment facility by maintaining a variety of files in accordance with established guidelines; preparing, formatting, and proofreading correspondence; maintaining calendar of events and suspense files; experience using automated computer systems to create documents, and reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04). OR Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer Service (Clerical/Technical)ReadingReasoning (Clerical/Technical)Writing Time in Grade Requirement: Candidates may be advanced without time restriction to positions up to GS-5 if the position to be filled is no more than two grades above the lowest grade within the preceding 52 weeks.
