Duties

Provide leadership, overall direction, and guidance to staff in the Office of the assigned area, ensuring all operational security needs are identified; security requirements are complied with; breaches are monitored; and, resolutions are coordinated Responsible for information systems engineering operations and security activities by ensuring confidentiality, integrity and availability of systems for the OCIO-OPS production operating environment. Implement and monitor the OCIO-OPS Cyber Security program and is responsible for implementing Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) and Information System Security and Privacy requirements for the production-operating environment

Qualifications

Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Basic AND Specialized Experience requirements as noted below. Basic Requirement: Individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations Specialized Experience: GS-15: You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-14 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing (3) of the duties listed below: Managing enterprise-level information technology (IT) infrastructure environments that include both cloud-based services and physical on-premises components (such as networks or servers). Supporting Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) or Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offerings such as Microsoft Office 365, Service Now, PeopleSoft, or SalesForce. Leading the development and support of IT solutions for a diverse customer base. Using IT project management techniques to monitor technology information system projects. Managing information technology through its life cycle. Leading system design efforts with a focus on Zero Trust architectural design and methodology. Formulating or managing IT budgets.
