The Records and Information Compliance Program Office (RICPO) supports mandated USPTO records and information management programs through providing guidance to USPTO personnel on records and information management laws, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with all federal records and information regulations and policies.

The physical worksite for this position is located in Alexandria, Virginia. This position is telework eligible per agency and business unit discretion/policy.

Specialized Experienceis experience that has equipped applicants with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For this position, the next lower grade level is a GS-13. Specialized experience for this position includes:
Experience in using systems of record to manage the lifecycle of records: Utilizes SharePoint and other electronic records repositories and Information Technology (IT), such as M365 Compliance Center/Purview to categorize, and assign metadata to manage records;
Experience in building and designing Microsoft 365 Records Management frameworks, utilizing Purview/Compliance Center to implement retention labels and automatic dispositioning of records;
Experience in utilizing Microsoft Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint, etc.), and other software applications; and
Experience in leading development of electronic records management framework. Proficient in M365 Microsoft Purview, to facilitate and perform dispositioning of electronic records and management of accessioning of records to NARA.
