About the Position: This position is located at Irwin Army Community Hospital Fort Riley, KS.

Duties
Serves as leader and final reviewer of routine actions completed by lower level clerks.
Gives on the job training to new employees in accordance with established procedures and practices.
Coordinates with external agencies to assist personnel with meeting various training requirements.
Serves as advisor to Chief, Military HR and Chief, HR Division in establishing and implementing unit HR policy and procedures.
Receives inquiries and provides guidance and assistance to departments / services relative to the preparation of recommendations for military awards.
Requirements
- This position is designated as moderate risk involving Public Trust. Appointment to this position is subject to a background investigation including a credit check to determine suitability for Federal employment and/or the position.
- Moderate to heavy lifting up to 50 pounds may be required.
- Must possess and maintain a valid stateside driver's license.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

Proficiency Requirement: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
