About the Position: This position is located with the Directorate of Human Resources, Military Personnel Division, Personnel Processing Branch at Fort Riley, Kansas.

Duties

Create and review reports to update personnel information as necessary. Input data into a variety of automated human resources systems. Perform quality control duties for personnel actions. Act as liaison between HR and command leadership on administrative matters. Research and apply rules regulations and procedures applicable to personnel actions and activities.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Processing personnel actions such as: in/out processing, arrivals and slotting, and military finance assistance; 2) Maintaining personnel records for assigned organization; and 3) Utilizing human resources automated systems to support personnel programs. Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified Typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute same with three or fewer errors. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
