Duties

Apply an extensive body of Military Human Resources rules, procedures and operations to perform a wide variety of military human resources work. Make initial recommendations on eligibility for promotion, identifying discrepancies in selectee records, screening district office lists and developing lists of personnel for promotion. Coordinate and set up computers for assigned personnel to conform to post and higher headquarters requirements. Provide user and help desk support within the organization. Perform a variety of administrative services including creating documents and spreadsheets, developing procedures for organizing communications, studies and reports. Serves as the hand receipt holder for office property as well as a variety of clerical duties.

Specialized Experience GS-07: One year of specialized experience which includes reviewing and preparing reports, inputting data, and processing military personnel actions and records; and experience utilizing military personnel automated databases to provide advice and guidance on operation, maintenance, and manipulation of military personnel data in the system. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Proficiency Required:This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
