Qualifications
NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
To qualify for the GS-13 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level defined as coordinating with local government officials on environmental programs, building intergovernmental relationships, demonstrating experience managing Federal Advisory Committees (FACs), conducting environmental program and policy analysis on issues of significance to an organization, and conveying technical and analytical information to senior leadership.
Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of Federal Advisory Policy Act (FACA) policies, procedures and directives.
Knowledge of Federal, State, and local laws and regulations.
Skill in collaborating and interacting on projects or teams with multiple stakeholders.
Skill in program development and planning to accomplish organization priorities.
Ability to develop recommendations to increase program efficiency.
Ability to negotiate with and persuade internal and external stakeholders on complex and sensitive issues.
Skill in oral communication.
Ability to use analysis to evaluate and improve policy and program operations.
Skill in written communication, sufficient to provide justification of programs to managers.
