You will serve as a Program Manager in the Unmanned and Small Combatants, Mine Warfare Program Office (PMS 495) of PEO UNMANNED AND SMALL COMBATANTS.
Duties
You will assist in directing, scheduling, assigning, evaluating, advising on, and reviewing work performed by subordinates and support personnel exercising expert knowledge in subordinates specialties and functions.
You will provide technical guidance and support to the Integrated Product Team (IPT) leaders and individual IPT members.
You will direct technical activities of projects to ensure both long and short range goals are met to the maximum extent possible within manpower and fiscal resources.
You will ensure the technical adequacy and accuracy of completed assignments, and exercise initiative in resolving problems that arise from ambiguous and conflicting priorities, policies, and regulations.
You will review results of in-process testing, plan for future test requirements and equipment, and evaluate their adequacy for ensuring quality of hardware produced.
You will conduct critical technical analyses of systems, subsystems and components in order to assess these developments against operational requirements.
You will manage and develop program/project schedules to ensure final products can be properly integrated into the final system/equipment to minimize risk in acquiring each new capability “on schedule” and “on cost”.
You will interface with manufacturer/government Program Managers, engineering and technical support, contracting personnel, and financial analysts to ensure effective program/project management.
You will lead or participate in meetings to discuss project/program issues regarding acquisition, budgeting, and contracting processes as well as develop objectives, operating schedules, resource requirements, and overall project plans.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-03 (GS-13 Equivalent), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector managing program activities (e.g. contracting, resource allocation, strategic planning, risk assessments, budget planning, development and execution, problem resolution and reporting, or financial management) to meet or ensure compliance with project requirements for the design, testing, procurement, development, sustainment, or maintenance of maritime warfare systems, subsystems, or components.
