THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a PLANS AND OPERATIONS ASSISTANT - TITLE 32, Position Description Number PDD0622000 and is part of the KY DCSOPS, National Guard.
***NOTE: Current on-board applicants (AREA 1, Title 32 employees) will retain current tenure and be temporarily promoted or reassigned, all others will be hired with indefinite tenure.***
Duties
As a PLANS AND OPERATIONS ASSISTANT - TITLE 32, GS-0303-7, you will participate with the Plans, Operations and Military Support Officer's (POMSO) staff in the formulation and maintenance of contingency plans. Develop plans for small projects and assist the POMSO with more complex plans. Research to determine unit capabilities to respond and assist in federal emergencies. Research files, gather data and analyze information and plans. Prepare information summaries on capabilities to respond to federal emergencies or situations. Assist higher graded personnel in conducting Operations Security (OPSEC) workshops. Administer OPSEC Survey Program and conduct OPSEC briefings. Coordinate with Continental United States Army on land defense planning and participates in conferences. Assist the POMSO in the operation of the state emergency communications system. Serve as a state radio net frequency coordinator. Review procedures to ensure effective communications and EOC operations. Coordinate, publish and distribute state Signal Operating Instructions. Assist POMSO staff with the operation of the EOC. Ensure availability of required equipment, supplies, material, maps. etc. May serve as the property book custodian for military support property accounts. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENT:
Experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the administrative or clerical duties of the position. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must have at least 12 months experience in the interpretation and application of regulations, procedures or laws. Experience that provided a working knowledge of administrative functions. Experience demonstrating the ability to advise lower graded employees. Experience working independently and setting priorities with very little supervisory control.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Resume must have complete dates, work schedule, and/or hours worked per week for both civilian and military employment. (Example: 2 JAN 1980 to 3 MAR 1981; 0800-1630 M-F or JAN 1980 to MAR 1981; 40 hrs/wk) Use of year only and unspecified work schedule will result in disqualification. Education
High school graduate or the equivalent may be substituted for 3 months of specialized experience.
Education in schools above the high school level may be substituted for experience on the basis of one academic year of study (i.e. 36 weeks of substantially full time study, or 30 semester hours, or the equivalent) for 12 months of the required experience.
