You will serve as an Assistant Program Manager (APM) for Expeditionary Missions Program Office for the PEO UNMANNED AND SMALL COMBATANTS.
Duties
You will be accountable for cost, schedule, performance of the Expeditionary Medical program.
You will design acquisition strategy and program baseline and direct acquisition life cycle activities and all efforts associated with the program/office through subordinate managers and teams.
You will apply management and business principles to analyze situations, identify problems, probe causes and select courses of action for subordinate managers to pursue.
You will identify requirements and define the scope of projects which comprise the overall acquisition program.
You will provide advice and guidance and/or render decisions on specific problems presented by subordinates.
You will communicate program activities in a variety of written and oral forums at all levels internal and external to the organization.
You will assess and provide strategic direction for resolution of mission-critical problems, policies, and procedures.
You will define, integrate, and implement strategic direction for vital programs with long-term impact on large numbers of people.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is covered under Public Law 114-264, the Program Management Improvement Accountability Act (PMIAA).
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13 equivalency) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Evaluating program requirements (e.g., financial, contractual, resource allocation) to develop strategies for a medical acquisition or logistics program.
