Duties
This position supervises the Planning, Estimating, Scheduling and Business Management (PES/BM) Division at the Coast Guard YARD. The PES/BM Division manages the program portfolio for the shipyard and develops new business to ensure that productivity goals are met. The division assists the development of customer requirements, develops work breakdown structures, estimates, schedules; manages the Yard's supply program and overhead.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- May be required to serve a one year supervisory probationary period
- Submit a copy of most recent SF-50, Notice of Personnel Action
- This position requires a Secret clearance.
- Obtain and Maintain Certified DHS COR III (Services)
- Obtain and Maintain Certified DHS Program Manager Level III
- Obtain and Maintain DHS Life Cycle Logistics Manager Level II
Qualifications
To qualify for the GS-15, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
Examples of specialized experience include developing planning/estimating/scheduling techniques and procedures; evaluating the performance of an industrial operation; preparing workload projections, etc.
National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.
