Qualifications

To qualify for the GS-13 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level defined as communicating technical guidance to various audiences; providing strategies to evaluate program planning and performance measures; and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, teams or work groups to meet established goals and objectives.
To qualify for the GS-14 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level defined as communicating technical guidance to various audiences; evaluating program planning and performance measures; and making recommendations to management to meet established goals and objectives.
Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of Federal and EPA planning and resource management mandates and directives.
Ability to evaluate programmatic goals and objectives.
Ability to assess program priorities for short and long-term goals.
Skill in written communication.
Skill in oral communication.
Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on work products.
Knowledge of quality assurance practices and procedures.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
