The Office of Inspector General is an independent office within the EPA that helps the agency protect the environment in a more efficient & cost effective manner. We perform audits, evaluations, & investigations of the EPA to promote economy, efficiency, and to prevent and detect fraud, waste and abuse. Duties
This position is located in the Environmental Protection Agency, Office of the Inspector General, located in Washington, DC. The Special Assistant supports the Associate Deputy Inspector General.
Requirements

Qualifications
The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 10/04/2024.Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service.
GS-14: To qualify at the GS-14 level you must possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties:
Applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations.
Managing special projects by planning and preparing analysis with the use of charts, diagrams, slides and other visual material for use in the communication of information.
Collecting relevant information from varied sources to devise new techniques to evaluate findings and make authoritative recommendations.
