About the Position: The purpose of this position is to perform clerical and technical work supporting one or more military personnel programs, operations or functions. Functional areas include but are not limited to Enlisted Personnel Manning, Contingency/Mobilization Operations Support, Installation Casualty Services, Personnel Processing, Soldier Actions, Records Management, Assignments/Reassignments, and Retirements/Transition Services, Student/Trainee Services and Separations.

Duties

Provide clerical support to ensure efficient office operations. Perform a variety of duties in support of the organization's programs, functions and projects. Function as the primary source of guidance and assistance on military personnel matters, including application of rules, regulations, and procedures. Research and implement regulatory guidance and procedures for processing Promotions, personnel actions, and military personnel file updates. Utilize automated personnel systems supporting military personnel functions and operations, including E-MILPO, PERNET, and TOPMIS used to manage service members both locally and service wide.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A favorable National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) may be required for this position.
  • Incumbent must be willing and able to travel in military and commercial aircraft and vehicles.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
