You will serve as a SUPERVISORY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (REGIONAL OPERATIONS CENTER MANAGER) in the Emergency Management Department of HDQTRS NDW.
Duties
You will conduct emergency management training to establish personnel are prepared and certified in incident command systems.
You will brief management on findings, recommendations, or issues associated with emergency management training, exercises, and events.
You will analyze current fiscal year execution to develop future year emergency management program resource requirements.
You will analyze methods and techniques to improve emergency response capabilities.
You will prepare briefs, point papers, or other documents to compel decisions regarding the emergency management program.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1)Assists the Emergency Management Region Program Director with implementation of the Emergency Management Program, with primary focus on the daily operations to support consequence management functions; 2) Serves as subject matter expert in Emergency Management functions to include policy, procedures, national Incident Management System and chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear consequence management; 3) Assist government purchase card holders with reconciliations for all GPC purchases and assists in developing annual and special operating budgets; 4) Directs all personnel related processes to include disciplining subordinates; 5) Supports the development and implementation of equipment, training, exercises, and evaluations to promote mission readiness, and 6) Defends controversial and critical findings and recommendations.
