You will serve as an Emergency Management Specialist of COMMANDER - NAVAL INSTALLATIONS.
Duties
You will brief emergency management staff, organization staff, and local municipalities on day-to-day situations to keep them informed of emergency situations.
You will analyze methods and techniques to improve emergency response capabilities.
You will draft emergency management dispatch policy documents affecting emergency responders across an organization.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing support, subject matter expert and project management in the development of Navy Emergency Management policy development for an oversight of significant portions of Navy Regions and Installations policy and guidance worldwide; Developing metrics to assess operational readiness of installations and regions; developing processes, procedures, and systems to collect relevant data with minimal impact to regions and installations; supporting the collection of data; maintaining the data supporting those metrics; analyzing the data for positive and negative trends; making policy and process recommendations to the EM Program Manager based on the analysis and conclusions; developing of manpower requirements and effects of manpower distribution; Conducting annual curriculum review of EM-related courses; Updating curriculum based on current requirements, doctrine, and observed best practices.
