You will serve as a RADIOLOGICAL EMERGENCY PLANNER in the RADIOLOGICAL EMERGENCY PLANNING OFFICE of COMMANDER SUBMARINE SQUADRON ELEVEN.
Duties
You will assist the Director of Emergency Planning in supervised operation, maintenance, and development of facilities, systems, equipment, procedures, training administration and development, etc.
You will, under supervision, maintain emergency response records, plans, and procedures.
You will assist in the coordination of training with military commands, government contractor and national laboratories, federal, state, and local government agencies.
You will assist with the development of annual and supplemental emergency planning budgets and quarterly budget status reports.
You will arrange, coordinate, and participate in meetings, briefs, facility and nuclear powered warship tours and drills exercises.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing emergency response plans, procedures and instructions for handling nuclear reactor accidents and radiological emergencies and implementing procedures for radiological response drills and exercises.
