The OPEPD is responsible for establishing policies and collecting data on America's schools and disseminating research for agency or public use. Also focusing national attention on key educational issues, while prohibiting discrimination and ensuring equal access to education.

Minimum Qualification Requirements You may meet the minimum qualifications for the GS-12, if you possess the specialized experience described below.Specialized Experience for the GS-12 One year of experience in either federal or non-federal service that is equivalent to at least a GS-11 performing two (2) out of three (3) following duties or work assignments: 1. Experience navigating the Federal budget and appropriations processes for one or more programs.  2. Experience collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data to support policy development and program management. 3. Experience completing or reviewing spending plans and/or monitoring spending to ensure they reflect applicable statutory, regulatory, and policy requirements. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) The quality of your experience will be measured by the extent to which you possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs).
