You will serve as an INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (NETWORK/CUSTOMER SUPPORT) in the INFORMATION MANAGEMENT DIVISION of TASK FORCE 82.
Duties
You will serve as the Staff/Shore Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for the COMSUBLANT Headquarters (HQ) Staff and Claimant.
You will monitor ongoing operations of NMCI/NGEN network systems to ensure hardware and software are functioning properly, diagnosing problems and formulating solutions for network related issues.
You will assist in ensuring proper IT check in/checkout procedures are followed.
You will be responsible for overseeing and executing the Assistant Customer Technical Representative (ACTR) function for the Headquarters and claimant in the areas of IT project management.
You will ensure life-cycle sustainment processes and procedures are followed.
You will process all NMCI user account create/move/reactivate requests.
You will assist in local inventory of computer asset assignments for the headquarter staff members.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 722 level within 12 months of appointment.
- This position requires Information Systems Security Manager (Cybersecurity Management) proficiency level (Intermediate Level) certification.
- This position requires an annual 20 hour minimum of Cyber Workforce related continuous learning must be documented in a current individual development plan signed by both the employee and supervisor.
- This position holds a role in Nuclear Deterrent Mission (NDM).
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Qualifications
GS-12:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience and mastery knowledge of NMCI, the NMCI contract, requirements, processes, procedures, organizations, tools, and personnel; NMCI/NGEN CTR and ACTR functions, duties and responsibilities.
Experience and mastery understanding of both the Legacy and NMCI/NGEN IT infrastructure sufficient to advise customers on the ordering of any necessary hardware and software, and the ability to apply requirements analysis principles and methods in determining the correct level of hardware and software required to support the customers' mission.
Experience and mastery knowledge of the skill in applying IT concepts, principles, methods, and practices.
Experience and in-depth knowledge of configuration management discipline and procedures sufficient to plan implementation and oversee NMCI/NGEN integration and legacy IT system acquisitions throughout the claimant.
Experience and skill in applying project management principles, methods, and practices including developing plans and schedule, estimating resource requirements, defining milestones and deliverables, monitoring activities, and evaluating and reporting on accomplishments sufficient to accomplish assigned projects.
Experience and in-depth knowledge of and skill in applying methods for evaluating, implementation, and disseminating IT security tools and procedures.
