This position is part of the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy - Headquarters, Department of Energy. As a Supervisory Management and Program Analyst, you will lead an organization and staff that provides management and program analysis support to senior-level (SES) EERE program managers.

As a Supervisory Management and Program Analyst, you will:

  • New supervisors/managers are required to serve a one-year probationary period.
  • New supervisors are required to complete 80 hours of supervisory training of which 40 hours must be completed during your first year as a supervisor.

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-14 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting All of the following: Managing contracting plans including proposed milestones, deadlines, and staff requirements; assesses progress; and advises on needed adjustment. Communicating with a wide variety of stakeholders, including members of Congress and leaders in Federal agencies, foreign governments and organizations, national laboratories, industry, trade associations, State, local, and tribal governments, universities, and other organizations Establishing goals, performance standards and internal controls for work carried out by the program to assure that activities meet established national objectives and priorities "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Time-in-Grade: Current Federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement to receive consideration. You must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
