You will serve as a Naval Architecture Technician in the Production Department of NAVAL HISTORY HERITAGE CMD DETACH.
Duties
You will serve as a technology expert in all architectural matters including the USS Constitution.
You will prepare scheduling documents, status reports, milestone charts, and man-day estimates for projects.
You will work on projects including the support of development, modification of existing naval architectural systems to make them applicable to the USS Constitution.
You will review drawings and specifications prepared by contractors and assure compliance with contract guidelines/milestones.

- You will perform ship checks on a regular basis, which requires vertical climbs of an approximate vertical height of 150 feet.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing research, design development, drawing preparation or following engineering calculations for architectural projects. Specialized experience must demonstrate most or all the following: 1) Developing, determining, or specifying design criteria for architectural projects and making recommendations regarding technical aspects; 2) Conducting studies on project assignments involving several design specialties; 3) Applying architectural engineering knowledge to solve problems on complex projects; 4) Utilizing architectural systems, such as computer aided design software, to develop drawings and modify existing drawings.
