You will serve as a Naval Architecture Technician in the Production Department of NAVAL HISTORY HERITAGE CMD DETACH.
Duties
You will provide research, design development, drawing preparation and follow-on engineering/engineering calculations for projects.
You will develop, determine and specify design criteria for the naval architectural projects assigned and make daily recommendations regarding all technical aspects for the project.
You will prepare scheduling documents, status reports, milestone charts, and manday estimates for projects.
You will review drawings and specifications prepared by contractors, close monitor contractor technical efforts to assure compliance with contract guidance/milestones and control technical package development by the contractor.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector utilizing a comprehensive knowledge of architectural design concepts, principles, and practices applicable to engineering duties concerned with historic ships. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Provide research, design development, drawing preparation and follow-on engineering/engineering calculations for projects; 2) Develop, determine and specify design criteria for the architectural projects assigned and make daily recommendations regarding all technical aspects for the project; 3) Prepare scheduling documents, status reports, milestone charts, and manday estimates for projects; and 4) Review drawings and specifications prepared by contractors, closely monitor contractor technical efforts to assure compliance with contract guidance/milestones and control technical package development by the contractor.
