You will serve as an Electrician in the Fleet Readiness Center MidAtlantic FRCMA VRT DEPT, Norfolk Production Branch of FLTREADCEN DET MID ATLANTIC PAX RIVER.
Duties
You will anticipate problems and make recommendation for a solution.
You will utilize a variety of skills and initiative to overcome deficiencies in design, availability of material and the operation of test deveices to obtain specified results.
You will identify broken, worn, damaged, or poorly operating wiring, fixtures, and equipment through a visual check or through the use of various metered test equipment.
You will use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot malfunctioning circuitry and equipment.
You will work from blueprints, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and electrical maintenance and repair manuals to plan and lay out repair work and trace hard-to-locate defects.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- This position requires rotating shift work.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
